Following Connecticut's worst workplace shooting in history Tuesday at Hartford Distributors, Inc. in Manchester, Thomas Hooker Brewery has chosen to donate 100% of proceeds from its Friday open house to the families of the victims.
The event begins at 5 p.m. Admission is $10, which gets you a souvenir pint glass, tastings and a guided tour of the brewery.
Thomas Hooker Brewery has a close relationship with Hartford Distributors - owner Curt Cameron credited the company with helping his brand grow rapidly over the years in a Courant article Tuesday.
The brewery is located at 16 Tobey Road in Bloomfield. 860-242-3111, hookerbeer.com

Kudos to Thomas Hooker Brewery, in this world of sorrow and violence, it is a wonderful gesture. I was born and grew up in CT. I lived in the greater Hartford area until I left Ct 11 years ago. For some reason this has really hit home with me. Probably because all the people killed were people like myself, who worked hard for what they wanted and in between had some hobbies, fun, family and friends that they enjoyed.
My love and prayers go out to all their families and friends left behind. Know in your hearts that they were wonderful, caring people. I know that they are all with the angels in heaven.
Lastly, the shooter is claiming this was a racist crime. This is surely a hate crime. A person that can hate so much to kill innocent people is going to have to answer to his maker. Let him burn in hell.
Lastly,
Knowing Curt Cameron, I'm not surprised of his response to this tragedy. He is a wonderful person that would literally give you the shirt off his back. My condolences to all the family's affected by this act.
Good people at Hooker Brewery
